Accessibility statement

What we have done to make this website usable however you browse it, and what we know is still imperfect.

Our aim. This site targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We believe it substantially meets that standard. Where it does not, we would rather say so below than claim otherwise.

What we have done

  • Colour contrast is measured, not eyeballed. Every text and background pairing used on the site was checked against the 4.5:1 ratio AA requires for body text. The tightest pair in the palette clears it at 4.74:1, and the theme's colours are constrained so a future change cannot quietly drop below it.
  • The whole site works from the keyboard. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing focus reaches, focus outlines are visible and never suppressed, and the navigation, accordions and forms are all reachable in a sensible order.
  • Targets are large enough to hit. Footer links, contact rows and the cookie controls carry padding to meet the 24×24 pixel minimum, rather than being left at bare text height.
  • Motion is optional. If your system asks for reduced motion, the reveal animations, the rotating tagline and smooth scrolling all switch off.
  • High-contrast mode is handled. In Windows forced-colours mode the borders the design depends on are restored explicitly, so cards and buttons do not collapse into an undifferentiated block.
  • It works without JavaScript. Every animation is gated behind a class the script adds only once it can reverse it, so with scripting off the page renders in its finished state rather than invisible. The demo form posts and works normally.
  • Structure is semantic. One h1 per page, headings in order, real landmarks, images carry alternative text, and icons that convey nothing are hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

  • The product screenshots are images of a complex interface. Their alternative text describes what the screen shows, but it cannot convey every figure in a table inside a picture. Where a figure matters, it is also written in the surrounding text.
  • The statutory cost calculator communicates its result visually and through a live region. It has not been tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
  • Third-party advertising, where it appears, is rendered by Google and its accessibility is outside our control.
  • This statement covers this marketing website. The Nova HRM application has its own accessibility characteristics; ask us if that matters for your procurement.
