1. General information, not advice

Everything published on this website — the guides, the feature descriptions, the calculator, the frequently asked questions — is general information about how payroll and accounting work and about what Nova HRM does.

It is not legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice or human-resources advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them. It does not take account of your company's circumstances, because we do not know them.

2. Statutory rates and rules change

We write about GOSI in Saudi Arabia, GPSSA in the United Arab Emirates, the Qatar pension scheme, and EOBI, provident fund and income-tax withholding in Pakistan. These are set by governments, and governments change them — sometimes with little notice, sometimes with retroactive effect.

A contribution rate, a wage ceiling, a filing deadline or a threshold described here was correct as we understood it on the date at the top of the page. Verify the current position with the relevant authority, or with your own adviser, before you rely on it. The authority's own publication is the source of truth; this website is not.

The same applies inside the product. Nova HRM implements these rules and we maintain them, but the statutory filing is made in your company's name and remains your company's responsibility. Check your figures before you submit them.

3. The cost calculator and worked examples

The statutory cost calculator on this site, and every worked example in the guides, are illustrations. They apply a headline contribution rate to a figure you type in, so that the shape of the cost is visible at a glance.

They deliberately leave out things a real payroll must handle: the contributory wage a contribution is actually assessed on rather than gross pay, wage floors and ceilings, nationality-dependent rates, mid-month joiners and leavers, unpaid leave, allowances that do or do not enter the base, and end-of-service accrual. Do not use a figure from this site to pay a contribution or to file a return.

4. Screenshots and example figures

The product screenshots on this site were taken from a demonstration environment. The company, the employees, the salaries, the account codes and every number in them are fabricated for the purpose of showing the interface.

They are not any customer's data, and no real individual's personal data appears in them. They do not represent a typical result, a promised outcome, or figures you should expect.

The interface is developed continuously, so a screenshot shows the product as it was when the image was captured, and the current version may differ.

5. No professional relationship

Reading this site, using the calculator, downloading a guide or submitting the demo request form does not create a professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and Nova Technology and Business Solutions.

A relationship arises when we have a signed agreement, and its terms are then in that agreement and in the Terms and Conditions.

6. Accuracy and completeness

We take care to be accurate and we correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not warrant that everything here is complete, current or error-free. Content may be out of date by the time you read it.

If you spot something wrong, please tell us — a correction helps the next reader more than it costs us.

7. Links to other sites

Where we link to a government authority, a standard or another organisation, we do it because it is useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their accuracy, and a link is not an endorsement.

8. Advertising

Some pages on this site carry advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Adverts are selected by Google, not by us.

We do not review, endorse or guarantee any advertised product, service or advertiser, and an advert appearing here is not a recommendation. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. How advertising cookies are handled is set out in the Cookie Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nova Technology and Business Solutions accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on information published on this website. Where we have a contract with you, liability is governed by that contract and by section 12 of the Terms and Conditions.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
